Straw fedora’s, neon hotel signs and the passing fumes of 1950’s Chevrolets; little internet and no mobile reception and putting the phone away; cash only, asking for street directions and throwing adventure into the wind; café cubano’s, mojitos made on honey, rumba on street corners and cigar smoke everywhere; rainstorms, thick air and fire flies at dusk; long hazy days, steamy Habana Vieja nights and beautiful, beautiful people.  

Ironically, Cuba radiates intrinsic and pure freedom for me. Freedom, as it turns out, is my panacea. A framed photograph paired with mojitos and blasting Buena Vista Social Club might just be the next best thing, so this print now hangs above my at home bar.
